Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Technological University of Tajikistan and the MERI group of educational institutions.

It should be noted that to purpose of collaboration, representatives from the MERI group of educational institutions (India) – Vice President Professor Lalit Aggarwal, Head of Innovation and International Cooperation Professor Liv Aggarwal, and Director of the India-Central Asia Foundation Professor Ramakant Dwivedi – visited to the Technological University of Tajikistan and met with the university’s Rector, Dr. of Economic Sciences Zoir Faizali Rakhmonzoda. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Republic of Tajikistan also attended in meeting.

During the meeting, the university rector briefed the guests on the university’s activities, educational structure, key areas of specialist training, research potential, opportunities for innovation, and priority areas for international cooperation.

The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation on joint educational and research programs, including in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, and digitalization of educational processes, innovation, and the development of modern technologies.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that expanding academic and scientific ties, exchanging faculty, researchers, and students, developing and implementing joint research projects, organizing joint remote seminars and courses, and holding scientific and professional events could create a favorable foundation for strengthening academic links and fostering cooperation between the institutions of both parties.

During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to the implementation of joint educational programs, short-term advanced training courses, and professional development programs, as well as the development and use of digital platforms and applications for managing the educational process and evaluating students’ innovative projects. It ware emphasized that leveraging the best practices of Indian educational institutions in this area could help improve the quality of education and develop the digital skills of teachers and students.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation ware signed between the Technological University of Tajikistan and the MERI group of institutions.
