On April 24-25, 2026, within a Science Week, the Technological University of Tajikistan hosted a Republican Conference on «Scientific Innovations and Inventions in the Exact and Engineering Sciences as a Key Factor in Sustainable Development», dedicated to the «Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Eact and Mathematical Sciences in the field of Science and Education» and the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, one of the key goals of which is to facilitate the implementation of the fourth strategic goal – accelerated industrialization of the country.
In a plenary session of the conference, which took place on April 24, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00 in the University Assembly Hall, was attended by country’s prominent scientists, researchers and specialists, government officials, doctoral students, scientific degree’s applicants, master’s and bachelor’s students.
According to the conference program, the plenary session covered the foloowing congratulatory and scientific speech speechs:
1. The Congratulatory Speech of the Rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan, Doctor of Economic Scences, Acting Professor Rahmonzoda Zoir Faizali was read by the First Vice-Rector – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality Management of Education, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Nasriddinzoda Mirzomudin Shamsudin.
2. A Congratulatory Speech on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan was delivered by the Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific and Educational Institutions of the Ministry Rakhmonali Davlatov.
3. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Development Economics at the Technological University of Tajikistan Usmanova Tufa Jumaevna made a Scientific Speech on «Economic Science: Problems and Development Prospects».
4. The Scientific Presentation of the Director of the State Institution «Republican Educational and Methodological Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan», Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Karimzoda Shavkat Karim on «Digital education: Developing Students’ Digital Competencies – a Step towards Training Specialists-Innovators» was delivered by the Director Advisor of the Center Navruzov Hamza.
5. Director General of OJSC «Gulistoni Dushanbe» Yarbabaeva Malika Alisherovna (a successful allumni of the Technological University of Tajikistan) made her speech on «Prospects for the Development of the Garment Industry in the Republic of Tajikistan (on example of OJSC «Gulistoni Dushanbe»)».
6. Director of the Educational and Innovation Center of AG Academy – «AG-management» LLC Sharipov Muhammadjon made a speech on «Development and Prospects of «Amiri LLC» in the Era of Independence».
At the end of the plenary session, discussions and exchanges of opinions took place among the participants. In particular, it was noted that the conference will facilitate the emergence of new forms of collaboration and the expansion of existing ones, the development of a number of new scientific and research topics, as well as the strengthening of ties for joint activities between universities, scientists and researchers, by creating an appropriate basis. This is an important step towards fulfilling the instructions and guidelines of the country’s top leadership and implementing state policy towards the development of science, technology and innovation.
On April 25, 2026, the conference continued its work in 5 important scientific sections, each of which reflects key areas of development in the national economy, science and technology:
Section 1. Innovations and Inventions in the Light and Food Industries.
Section 2. Application of Information Technology, Digital Systems, and Artificial Intelligence in Science and Education.
Section 3. Natural, Exact and Mathematical Subjects as the Basis for the Development of Science, Engineering and Technology.
Section 4. Digital Economy and Intelligent Technologies in Ensuring Sustainable Development.
Section 5. Engineering Pedagogy: Training Innovative Specialists in Technical and Technological Fields.
It has to be mentioned, that despite the conference’s republican level, scientists and researchers from Commonwealth of Independent States countries, such as the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,and Uzbekistan, also submitted their research papers for participation in the conference.
In total, 262 research papers were submitted to the conference organizing committee, which is a high indicator and a testament to the broad interest of the scientific community in the issues discussed.
