Department of Physical Education

On September 20, 1990, by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Technological University of Tajikistan was established.

To ensure physical education and the training of talented athletes at the university, during the years 1993-1994, under the leadership of Assistant Khojaev Q.Q. and teacher Bozorov T.N., and later Abramov I.A., lessons in physical education were conducted.

In December 1998, Dilovarshoev Sultonsho Dilovarshoev became an honored teacher of Tajikistan and, together with Senior Teacher Qiyomiyon Nasriddinov, established the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Technological University of Tajikistan.

The notable work of this teacher was the establishment of a new-style physical education department at the university. In addition to conducting high-level lessons, during those years, teams of students were formed in football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and athletics, which quickly solidified their positions.

This organized activity helped the university achieve significant results within a short period, and all the teams became actively engaged in competitions held in the city of Dushanbe.

In September 2002, the physical education teacher and sports coach Viktor Abramovich Groshev (27 years old) started working as a teacher at the university. He began his career as a coach in athletics. In 2003, Khushvakhtov A.S. was appointed as the head of the department of physical education and sports.

In December 2006, volleyball coach Renee Valentinovna Borisova began her work as a teacher at the department of physical education and sports.

Dilovarshoev Sultonsho Dilovarshoev served as the head of the department of physical education and sports at the Technological University of Tajikistan from 1997 to 2012. He continues to work in this department as a professor. From 2012 to 2021, the department was headed by Fayzaliev Firuz Fayzalievich, and from 2021 to 2023, the head was Sharipov Chamshed Khabibovich. Since 2018, the department has been functioning as a specialized division with an established high reputation.

At present, the department of physical education operates according to the regulations approved on August 29, 2022, by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Currently, the department includes four senior teachers: Nuraliev Zokirchon Shomurodovich, Orifov Bakhtiyor Muhammadievich, Dilovarshoev Ramzesh Sultonshoevich, and assistant Sharipov Firuz Fayzalievich. The department is tasked with preparing students for city and national-level sports events, as well as with cultivating a healthy and physically strong student body, contributing to the high reputation of the university.

As of September 2023, the department of physical education is headed by Nuraliev Zokirchon Shomurodovich.
