From the first day of work at the university, the general education department (later the department of higher mathematics) had an interfaculty status. The first head of the general education department was Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Ashurov S.B., and since 1991 the department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Ganiev Makhmadzhon Ganievich. At that time, the general education department included the following teachers: Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Abdulloev Nematullo Sadulloevich, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and, Dep. Associate Professor Negmatova Gavkhar Dekhkanovna, Senior Lecturer Saifullo Boboev, Part-time Workers Alim Shamsiddinov, Mirzo Yusupov, Ilkhomiddin Sirojiddinov, Marhabo Ismoilova, Ozar Rakhmatov, Tojiddin Radjabov, Mukhtaram Khodjabekova, Khurshed Maksudov, Mubashirkhon Ragimova, Sattor Bayzoev and Yusufdzhon Nozimov.
The Department of Higher Mathematics was a division of the Computing Center. In 2000, the Department of Higher Mathematics and Computer Science was created, headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences Li Igor Romanovich.
From 2001 to 2006, the Department of Higher Mathematics was part of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, headed by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Shabozov Odilkhon Shabozovich. Under the guidance of this highly qualified and competent teacher, the department trained young specialists of all specialties of the Technological University of Tajikistan.
From 2006 to 2007, the department was headed by PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Kozijanova Dilbar Marifatovna, from 2007 to 2009 by PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Saidulloeva Rano Rafievna, from 2009 to 2011 by PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Zaripov Saidakhmad Asrorovich, from 2011 to 2012 by PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Akobirshoev Mukhiddin Otamshoevich, from 2012 to February 2015 by PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Zarifbekov Marodbek Shirinbekovich.
In 2015, the Department of Higher Mathematics was merged with the Department of Computer Science, which was named the “Department of Higher Mathematics and Computer Science”, which was headed by Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Nazhmiya Beknazarovna Ozodbekova until February 2020.
Since February 2020, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Aydar Mamadov Alisher Gulomalievich has been appointed head of the department.
Since the first days of the University’s existence, highly qualified teachers Yunus Soliev, Odilkhon Shabozovich Shabozovich Shabozovich Shabozovich, Dilbar Marifatovna Kozidzhonova as full-time employees of the department have made a significant contribution to the education of the younger generation. From 2007 to 2015, senior teacher Tatyana Aleksandrovna Tanasova, who has extensive teaching experience, taught mathematics students in groups with Russian as the language of instruction.
Currently, the department employs more than 16 full-time competent teachers. Such as, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ashurov S.B., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Zarifbekov M.Sh., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Negmatova G.D., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Alikulov R.R., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Akobirshoev M.O., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Sadulloeva R.R., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Ozodbekova N.B., PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Acting Associate Professor Aidarmamadov A.G. The contribution of the department staff to the education of the younger generation and the training of competitive specialists for the development of our country is invaluable.
