MEETING OF THE LEADERSHIP OF THE TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY OF TAJIKISTAN WITH A TEAM OF KOICA EXPERTS

A meeting took place at the Technological University of Tajikistan between the university’s leadership and a delegation of experts from the International Cooperation Agency Republic of Korea (KOICA) in the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting was organized in response to a letter from the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan concerning the implementation of the project ‘Support for Strengthening the Innovation Ecosystem in the Field of Artificial Intelligence and IT Start-ups through the IT Park’, and was dedicated to discussing ways to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of modern technologies and innovation.

During the meeting, issues relating to the training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence and innovation, support for start-up initiatives, and the creation of favorable conditions for the development of new technological ideas were discussed. The parties also exchanged views on opportunities to launch joint projects, share expertise and harness the university’s academic and teaching potential to implement innovative initiatives.

It was noted that developing cooperation with international partners, drawing on the best practices of the Republic of Korea, and strengthening links between science and education and the digital technology sector could help to train competitive specialists and create a favorable foundation for supporting innovative entrepreneurship and the development of a modern start-up ecosystem in Tajikistan.
