Scientific electronic library

The library of the Tajik Technological University carries out its activities in accordance with the orders and instructions of the Founder of Peace and Unity – the leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, the Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On library activities”, “On information”, “On copyright, rights associated with it”, the Commitment, the Charter of the library and the academic council of the university, based on the work plan. The university library plays an important role as the main center for providing information for the educational process and in the formation of professional skills among students.

The library collection of TUT as of 01.09.2019 is 238,951 storage units, the volume of educational, educational-methodical and scientific literature is 98,632 storage units, including in the Tajik language – 118,951 storage units, and other languages ​​- 120,000 storage units. The electronic library collection is 469,000 storage units. Readers are served, along with the traditional one, through the electronic catalog “BOOK” and the website “http://elibrary.tut.tj”, which includes the electronic databases: “Books”, “Articles”, “Works of TUT. Books”, “Abstracts”, “Official publications”, “Higher education”, “Electronic publications”, “Standard programs”, “Fiction”, “Electronic resources”. Students and teachers can use periodicals of the electronic database of the Tajik National Library (http://www.kmt.tj/); Central Scientific Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan (https://anrt.tj); Electronic database (http://www.lanbook.ru); Database of the Eurasian Patent Organization (http://www.eapatis.com/). Electronic journals “China”, “Pamir”, “Issues of methodological training”, “Economics and management of innovative technologies”, and others.
The scientific library of the university has access to the following electronic databases – the Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library, “Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation”. All the work of the scientific library is reflected on the website www.library.tut.tj.
The speed of information transfer within the corporate network is 100 Mbit / s, in the server segment and on campus highways 1000 Mbit / s. Connection to the Internet is via a fiber-optic cable at a speed of 100 Mbit/s with unlimited traffic. The university has an extended infrastructure of data reception/transmission channels, covering the entire computer park, interactive projectors and wireless access points. Access to the Internet and corporate network resources is distributed through organized virtual local area networks (VLAN), which not only simplifies administration, but also limits unauthorized access to both the Internet portal and other shared resources, as well as isolates guest connections. Personalization of user login to the corporate network, as well as his access rights, are regulated by the Active Directory service. The university’s Internet provider is currently Tajiktelecom, the total bandwidth of the Internet access channel is 190 Mbit/s. The key node of the university’s infrastructure is the server complex of the network operations center.

Access to all educational resources located on various servers and sites of TUT is provided through the official website of the university www.tut.tj, and the TUT library website http://elibrary.tut.tj presented in 3 languages. It provides access to both internal and external electronic resources: www.kmt.tj,
www.gpbt.tj, www.lanbook.ru, www.twirpx.com, www.isuct.ru, www.eapatis.com.

The university library carries out its activities in the following areas:

1. Organization of an effective service process in all departments of the library;
2. Improving and replenishing the library collection;
3. Increasing the number of library members;
4. Enriching electronic resources (stocks);
5. Editing the electronic index, list;
6. Cooperation with other libraries;
7. Presentation of newly published books;
8. Attracting students to the library;
9. Participation in scientific and cultural events;
10. Presentation of effective directions of political, economic and social development of the siren;
11. Organization of library events;
12. Improving the qualifications of library staff, etc.

Organization of a high-quality service process is considered one of the main goals of the university library, and the library officials make every effort to achieve this goal.

The University Library actively cooperates with libraries of other universities and the National Library of Tajikistan. At present, it is necessary to note the close ties of our library with the Scientific Library of the National Patent and Information Center, the Institute of Service and Entrepreneurship, the Tajik Technical University, the Institute of Art and Culture, the National University of Tajikistan. Also, permanent communication has been established with several libraries of the Russian Federation, Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and other friendly countries.
