Department of Youth Affairs

From 1990 to 1994, a Youth Department was established within the structure of the Tajik Technological University as a student parliament, which was headed by Khakimov Gafurjan from 1992 to 2000. Subsequently, from 2000 to 2004, the head of the youth department was Rakhmonov Matlub, followed by Khalikov Muzaffar from 2004 to 2012, and Taborov Firuzjan from 2012 to September 2019. From 2019 to 2022, the department was headed by Sherov Makhmadali, followed by Eshonov Habib from 2022 to 2024. From 2024 until August 2024, the position of department head was temporarily held by Saidov A. Since September 2024, the head of the Department for Youth Affairs and Sports has been Bokizoda Muhammadzikriyyo Bokimakhmad.

After the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Youth and State Youth Policy” in 2004, the Youth Department of the university was transformed into a Department for Youth Affairs and Student Initiative Support. Then, on April 17, 2012, following discussions at the Academic Council, a new department was established for working with youth and promoting the image of Tajik Technological University. Finally, on November 1, 2016, after further discussions in the Academic Council, the department was renamed the Department for Youth Affairs and Sports of Tajik Technological University and now consists of two operational units.

The Department for Youth Affairs and Sports of Tajik Technological University is one of the key sectors in the professional education system in the field of state youth policy. The active participation of youth is indispensable for the political, economic, and socio-cultural development of the state. This department consistently maintains contact with the students of the university and contributes to the implementation of the current policies of the state and government of Tajikistan.
