The purpose and objectives of the department of scientific research and training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of the Technological University of Tajikistan are the organization, control and regulation of scientific-theoretical and scientific-practical activities of the relevant structures of the university, the organization and control of the implementation of current and long-term plans for scientific activities of the faculties and departments of the university based on the requirements and regulatory legal acts in the field of education and science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The main areas of activity of the department:
– organizing and holding scientific events;
– ensuring the participation of scientists, teachers, doctoral students, postgraduate students, applicants, master’s students and students in symposia, scientific-practical conferences, scientific-theoretical seminars and discussions of scientific papers, other scientific events, competitions and olympiads at the university, city, republican and international levels;
– organizing the process of scientific research work and their implementation in production;
– continuous improvement and control of research activities of the university’s structural divisions, student scientific seminars and clubs;
– improvement and control of editing and proofreading of scientific publications;
– organization and coordination of the implementation of the university’s scientific achievements in production, etc.;
– training of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel.
The department’s structure includes the following sectors:
doctoral studies in the specialty (PhD);
scientific, creative and educational student clubs;
scientific events;
the journal “Vestnik TUT” and materials of international and national conferences.
Currently, 208 teachers are engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at 19 departments of the university, of which 10 people have the academic degree of Doctor of Science, Professor, and 94 people have the academic degree of Candidate of Science, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor in the specialty, Associate Professor.
The university’s teaching staff includes renowned specialists in various areas of public life, laureates of state awards and honorary titles in the field of science and education.
