The Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, in particular, notes: “The trend towards complicating the situation in the region and the world, attempts by terrorist and extremist organizations to illegally cross state borders and carry out inhuman terrorist acts in various parts of the world, including Tajikistan, require strengthening the protection of the country’s territory, stability and peace, as well as ensuring the peaceful life of the residents. In accordance with Article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the State Border”, entry into the border area of foreign citizens and stateless persons without permission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and internal affairs bodies is strictly prohibited, and consent to the admission of other persons to the border line is given only with identification documents and issued for travel. Border posts will carry out serious control over the entry and exit of citizens to border areas. In this regard, all citizens of the country and guests staying or entering the territory of Tajikistan are urged to carry a passport and other identification documents when traveling to the border areas of GBAO and Khatlon region. 14.05.2024NewsWithin the framework of development of the bilateral relations, that are based on cooperation between the governments of Tajikistan and South Korea, on May 14, 2024, the Rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan Rahmonzoda Zoir Faizali met with the official representative of the Korean organization WTIT – «Transfer of Global Communication Technologies», who is also the director of the Joint Center of Tajikistan and Korea at the University mister Yongho Park. During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of multiyear fruitful cooperation of the University and the Joint Center with Korean partners and organizations on development of the education system in Tajikistan, introduction of modern educational and methodological technologies and improvement of the material and technical base of the University. The Rector of the University especially noted the contribution of the Joint Tajik-Korean Center on introduction the modern means of information and communication technologies and implementation of scientific and technical achievements in the University activity, organization of scientific and cultural events and promotion of joint scientific and educational activities. The parties mentioned that the purpose of cooperation, first of all, is to increase the University potential on development a modern material and technical base, improvement its personnel and teaching potential on information and communication technologies, preparing competitive graduates who meet the requirements of the labor market, as well as strengthening prestige of the University in the domestic, regional and global educational space. Based on the best practices of Korean partners, the University as an educational institution focused on engineering and technical, technological vocational education, by preparing competitive specialists in the field of information and communication technologies, can take an appropriate position in the regional and global education and labor market. As one of the important factors, this process, which based on using of information and communication technologies, digital transformation and introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, by relying on Korea successful experience in this direction, can have a great impact in the development of domestic industry, in particular on increasing the professional competencies of specialists in the field of information and communication technologies. It has been mentioned that by the support of the Government of the Republic of Korea, the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and the Korean Organization for International Cooperation (KOICA), the Joint Tajik-Korean Center of the Technological University of Tajikistan provides all the necessary conditions for organizing the educational process and training trainers at the proper level. The Center is provided with a modern educational space, equipped with the latest information and communication technologies and equipped with the necessary equipment. Currently, as part of the Center’s activities, several teachers from South Korea regularly teach University students modern programming languages, robotics, development of programs for drones’ management and artificial intelligence. In 2022, taking into account the certain tendency of students to learn the Korean language and study in Korea, the «King Sejong Institute Language Center» was created on the base of the Technological University of Tajikistan, which can make a significant contribution on preparing for receiving a professional education, familiarization with the Korean history and culture, expansion the worldview and formation the technical culture of a new generation. To achieve this goal, on May 7, 2024, a training seminar on textile industry started officially at the Technological University of Tajikistan by participation of the Second Secretary and Trade Representative of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Tajikistan Zhang Zhitsan, representatives of the Wuhan Textile University: Deputy Director of the Project Management Center for Foreign Aid Tsou Manlin and academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Mei Shunqi, head of the department of scientific and educational institutions of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan S. Tilloeva, first deputy rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan M. N. Toshmatov, domestic textile industry specialists, teachers and students of the Faculty of Technology and Design of the University. The importance of organizing and holding a seminar is very significant for achieving a number of goals, including: –   exchange of experience and promotion of innovative development of the domestic textile industry; –   studying the experience of managing a modern manufacture at Chinese textile enterprises and familiarizing with the latest results of researches on industry with a view to their implementation at relevant enterprises in Tajikistan for increasing the management potential of manufacture in textile enterprises in Tajikistan; –   promoting the expansion of cooperation, creating a suitable platform for organizing exhibitions and the exchange of specialists on textile industry between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Tajikistan. Within the framework of the seminar agenda, professors from Wuhan Textile University will conduct training sessions on actual topics in the textile industry in form of 12 lectures (36 hours) and 4 practical and laboratory classes (12 hours) on the base of leading textile enterprises of the republic, such as « Zhongtai-Danghara Sin Silu», «Guliston», «Arvis» and «Vahdat Textile». 03.05.2024NewsOn May 3, 2024 the next meeting of the Rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan Rahmonzoda Zoir Faizali with the students of the Faculty of International Management and Marketing and their parents has been hold. At the meeting, first of all, the main points of the meeting of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan respected Emomali Rahmon with activists, representatives of the public and religious figures of the country, as well as the academic and educational system, were highlighted. Rahmonzoda Z. F. noted that, for further development of the education system of younger generation and increasing their national feelings, it is necessary to establish cooperation between the students’ parents and the university at the proper level. Because, at present, xenophilia and informal education are alienating our youth from the culture of our ancestors, developing in their minds unhealthy morality and imitation of foreign culture. The Rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan, the honorable Rahmonzoda Zoir Faizali, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests in accordance with the established protocol. The rector’s greeting was an excellent way to create an atmosphere of warmth and mutual understanding at the meeting. This center would serve as a platform for exchange from prestigious universities in Malaysia to share their expertise with students and staff from our university in key areas such as information and communication technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence. It was also suggested that our institutions consider conducting joint projects with a focus on the development of the field of artificial intelligence. Dr. Abdul Razak Ahmad observed that Tajik students and schoolchildren have demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for mathematics, which could potentially serve as a foundation for fruitful collaboration. Dr. Abdul Razak Ahmad, invited our rector to visit higher education institutions in Malaysia for futher cooperation with several universities in Malaysia. The purpose of the visit will be to discuss the prospects of cooperation in more detail. 14.02.2024Ads / ArticlesNEW INITIATIVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY – OFINU PROJECT HAS BEEN LAUNCHED On 1 February 2024 a consortium of seven partners have started implementation of the project “Open Food Innovation University”, funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Programme. The consortium is composed of the Technological University of Tajikistan, Institute of Technology and Innovative Management in Kulob, Branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan in Isfara and two universities from Uzbekistan and two from European Union. The lead partner is Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU). The project is coordinated by LBTU Lifelong Education Centre, having ten years’ experience in the development and implementation of higher education modernisation related projects in Central Asia. The project aims to develop and introduce in the involved Central Asia universities a new form of studies in which teaching and learning takes place in a modular format and in which together with full-time students participate external learners – listeners to study modules – people, having intention to acquire food processing related knowledge and/or to acquire higher education. For example, specialists in food processing industries or those who wish to become specialists. To this end, a legal basis will be created and strengthened, study modules developed, academic staff of partners trained, and the material base, needed for studies, developed. External learners will participate in certain modules together with full-time students, thus obtaining the credits determined for each module after completion of the training, acquiring the necessary knowledge, as well as gradually accumulating credits that allow the acquisition of a higher education diploma. This approach will enable people who have already entered the labour market to learn, increase their competitiveness in the labour market, as well as to increase the employment potential of students studying full-time programmes. Significant role in the project is given to the associated partners – five food processing enterprises and one business association (including in Tajikistan –  Khatlon Entrepreneurs’ Association, JSC “Kombinati shiri Dushanbe ” and LLC “Oriyon Rustam”), who will participate in the new study modules designing process, will take part in their validation, and will delegate staff to take part in the piloting.  Though associated partners have been chosen,  other interested food producers are welcomed for participation.
